About GlasgowThings
Glasgow's most comprehensive guide to events, businesses, and things to do — written by locals who live and breathe the city.
Our Mission
GlasgowThings.co.uk was built with a single purpose: to make it easier for Glaswegians and visitors to discover the best the city has to offer. Glasgow is one of the UK's most vibrant cities — a UNESCO City of Music, home to world-class museums, a thriving restaurant scene, and a live music culture that punches far above its weight. But finding what's on, where to eat, and what to do has always been harder than it should be.
We solve that. Every day, our platform ingests hundreds of events from Ticketmaster and Skiddle, verifies them, and presents them in a clean, searchable format. Our editorial team writes in-depth local guides covering every neighbourhood, cuisine, and activity type. Our business directory lists verified Glasgow establishments with accurate contact details and descriptions.
We are a Glasgow-only platform. We do not list events or businesses outside the city. This focus means our data is deeper, more accurate, and more useful than any general directory. When you search GlasgowThings, you get Glasgow — nothing else.
Editorial Standards
All event data is sourced from Ticketmaster and Skiddle APIs, updated daily, and cross-referenced against venue websites to ensure accuracy. Event dates, times, venues, and ticket links are verified at the point of ingestion. Past events are automatically removed from listings.
Our editorial guides are written by local experts with first-hand knowledge of the venues, neighbourhoods, and experiences they cover. We do not accept payment for editorial coverage. Businesses listed in our directory are not ranked by advertising spend. Our affiliate relationship with Ticketmaster (we earn a commission on ticket sales) does not influence our event listings or editorial content.
We cite primary sources — venue websites, official event pages, and direct communication with businesses — wherever possible. If you spot an error in our listings or guides, please contact us at hello@glasgowthings.co.uk and we will correct it promptly.
